CHARFIELD maintained their 100 per cent start to the season with a 63-run win over Cam seconds in Division Five.

Paul Belton hit 76 to help the hosts reach 178-7 after they were put into bat, Jordan Sargerson and Tom Hancock taking three wickets apiece for Cam.

Rory Thomas (4-27) ripped through the Cam top order, removing Adam Ford, Ed Paddock and Henry Patterson all for nought.

Although Hancock struck 57 to give the visitors hope, they were bowled out for 115 with Daniel Newman (3-14 off nine overs) wrapping up the win for Charfield.

Elsewhere, Minchinhampton (271-6) beat Wickwar (41) by 230 runs thanks to a first class century from Angus Brunsdon (120) and a fine half-century from Phil Stephens (63).

Despite Alan Sherman taking 3-31, Stone lost to Frocester by three wickets in Division Two after being bowled out for 144, while Hawkesbury (175-9) defeated Fairford (84-10) by 91 runs in Division Three.
