FRENCHAY hosted another successful Girls Coaching Camp during involving around 35 girls.

England International Tammy Beaumont assisted with the coaching courtesy of the ECB/ Cricket Foundation.

The event was organised as part of the club's successful ChancetoShine Programme involving taking cricket to the girls in local primary and secondary schools.

The girls from Year 3 to Year 9 were a mixture of some already playing at the club and others from their linked primary and senior Schools.

Activities included matches, fun games, skills for ‘soft ball’ and ’hard ball’ including the unbelievable opportunity of advice from an England international when facing the bowling machine for the first time.

Not deterred by rain on Wednesday morning, games were organised inside the club house, which was cleared of furniture for indoor matches, including which team of four could get on all the protective hardball equipment quickest.
