Pratt Cup
North Nibley (92) lost to Kingswood Village (94-1) by nine wickets
IN THE second Pratt Cup match for both sides, the visitors elected to field first; a decision which proved very effective.
As bowlers are limited to only three overs, Kingswood used a seven man attack; the pick of those being Rory Thomas (2.2-0-7-3) and Vince Taylor (2-2-0-3).
The main resistance for the hosts came from Steve Hunter (28), who lasted for 15 of the 20 overs but his partners fared poorly; only Ed Lines and Mark Patteson each making 12 for joint second highest score.
Kingswood required only three batsmen and 16.2 overs to chase down the required total.
Kev Morgan (10) opened with Ben Foxwell (41*) but in the fifth over was well caught by Hunter from Will Artingstall (3-0-15-1).
Richard Wilding (23*) then joined Foxwell and although North Nibley's bowlers all had good figures, these two knocked off the runs required in the next 11 overs.
