CAM U13 Girls have won the Lady Taverners County Cricket Competition.
As a result they qualify for the South West Regional competition on the July 29.
Cam’s first game in the competitive league was against a newly formed Charlton Kings team.
After losing the toss, Chloe Dolbear opened the batting strongly, retiring on 22.
Isabel Carey (15) and Caitlin Beard (8) also added valuable runs, with Cam finishing on 65.
Charlton Kings could only manage 48 with wickets taken by Carey and Beard.
The second game was a more closely fought affair against Frenchay, who scored 52.
Lauren Day bowled well, with Carey taking the only wicket for Cam.
After early exits from Dolbear and Maya Hart, Abbie Perkins, Lauren Ealey and Carey all batted well, bringing Cam’s eventual score to 74 runs, to win by 22.
Cam also won their third game.
