STINCHCOMBE Hill's senior section played at Cirencester last week, losing 5-3.
The successful pairings for Stinchcombe were Richard Lane and Jim Farrow (4&3), Don Bull and Jim Ball (1 up) and Jeff Pullin and Richard Parkin (1 up).
The Seniors then entertained Long Ashton seniors at Stinchcombe, winning by 4-3.
The pairs winning were Trevor Coles and Paul Jess (3&2), Keith Tocknell and Jim Farrow (1 up), Terry Munday and Jim Fewell (2&1) and Alan Pearn and Geoff Reynolds (1 up).
Saturday saw the Presidents Cup being played for.
This trophy was presented to the club by the president, the Duke of Beaufort, and is a bonus bogey competition.
The winner was the club vice-captain Dave Meredith with +7.
Second was Nigel Hudson (+4), third Glenn Seer (+4), fourth Pete Williment (+4) and fifth Cas Cole (+3).
