DURSLEY RC members have been busy riding Open Events in recent weeks.

Simon Williams and Mike Davis have continued with their excellent form, achieving personal bests (PBs).

Both riders travelled across to the popular 25-mile course in Bynea, South Wales, with Williams recording an incredible time of 50:28 (29.95mph), which was a PB and also a new club record for this distance.

Davis backed this up with a PB of 52:40 and Derek Smetham rounded off a successful day for Dursley with 53:31.

Mike Davis demonstrated his talent at the shorter distance of 10 miles, gaining himself a PB of 21:26 and fifth place when competing on the U21/10 course at Axbridge.

Rob Andrewartha competed in the Chippenham 25 and recorded a gutsy 1:14:16 on an undulating course.

Meanwhile, Billy Oliver demonstrated his ability for riding the longer distance courses and posted a time of 1:44:32 for the BDCA 50 over in the East Midlands to also gain himself another PB in a top class field of riders.
