KESTREL Gymnastics Club achieved some of their best ever results at the South West Championships in Sherborne.

The Thornbury-based club had only four partnerships representing them against all the other clubs in the region.

At grade 2, the experienced trio of Jenna Nunn, Olivia Brimson and Zoe Smith showed off their performance skills with an outstanding routine that gained them a well deserved silver medal.

Tegan and Kierri Price managed a refined and impressive routine at Grade 3 that delighted both the judges and the audience and their technical skill and performance earned them a bronze medal.

At their first ever competition together, Annie Hill and Hattie Roberts gave a sparkling performance but due to a slightly late ending, narrowly missed out on a medal, resulting in fourth place at Grade 1.

Another group together for the first time – Lauren Highnam, Abi Roome and Caitlin Roberts – took to the floor to compete at Grade 2.

A lovely, smooth routine was well received by the judges and they managed a respectable seventh place.
