GOOD knocks by four young Hillesley batsmen were enough to keep the Dave Rollo Memorial Trophy from Kingswood.
Batting first, visitors Hillesley set off and finished in style with 80 from George Eskins and 43 from Jim Davis then, after a middle order collapse, 39 from Josh Vaughan and 55 not out from George Bailey in a total of 268-7.
As usual, Kingswood's dropped catches helped; this time the bowlers could not complain as four caught and bowled chances went begging in three overs.
Ben and Robbie Foxwell had a wicket apiece but bowling honours went to Michael Barnes (2-41) and injured Vince Taylor (3-23) with no run-up.
After a good start from Kevin Morgan (19) and Ben Foxwell (57), Kingswood never challenged.
Steve Barnes (15) and Rod Alexander (10) reached double figures.
Twelve-year-old Robbie Foxwell (21*) and 15-year-old Jacob Symanowski (25) achieved their career bests for the club and number 11 Taylor swung lustily off one foot for 19 not out in a total of 219-9 as Kingswood lost by 49 runs.
