Bristol Youth Cricket League U17 Play-Offs Semi-Final

Thornbury (107-4) beat Winterbourne (104-7) by six wickets

THORNBURY beat Winterbourne to reach the league final.

Winterbourne batted first as Marcus Wormwell won the toss and stuck them in.

With tight bowling from Sam Williams Winterbourne really didn’t get going and Jack Gillett made a superb catch, dismissing Ben Slade (0), followed by an even better catch taken by Tommy Price to remove James Bracey (25).

It didn’t take too long for the Daniel Lezar (31) and Wormwell (23) show to make an impact into the total, while Sam Summerfield scored a nice 21 and Josh Morris (13*) hit the biggest six of the game as Thornbury cruised home.
