WOTTON Rovers under-9s were crowned champions at the Stonehouse 6-a-side tournament.
In this tough competition, Wotton finished the league section on maximum points, winning all five of their games without conceding a goal.
The semi-final against Eastcombe was tough with Wotton scoring in extra-time to seal their place in the final. This too proved challenging for both sides with Wotton going ahead, only for Hardwicke to equalise.
The score was still deadlocked after extra-time, resulting in a penalty shootout to decide the overall winners. After a long, hot day Wotton emerged champions, scoring all three of their penalties to Hardwicke's two.
