Football: Thornbury beaten by league new boys

Thornbury Town 2 Cheltenham Civil Service 4

THORNBURY Town went down at home to newly-promoted Cheltenham Civil Service.

Jack Sklenal opened the scoring for the visitors on 19 minutes and it remained 1-0 until just after the break when Civil Service netted two quick goals.

John Evans got the first on 49 minutes and two minutes later Sklenal netted his second.

Thornbury hit back with a Pete Fowler goal on 67 minutes and then made the score 3-2 when Craig Lancastle scored on 72 minutes.

Cheltenham made the game safe in time added on with a goal from Stuart Midwinter.
