FOR the second time in four days, Slimbridge found themselves a goal behind and down to ten men against Thatcham, but two goals in the last six minutes from Ben Tunnicliff sent them into the next round of the FA Cup.

Thatcham took the lead 30 seconds into the second half when Josh Stockwell netted, and the dismissal of Paul Fahy following a scuffle on the far touchline with nine minutes remaining seemed to have sealed the tie.

But Thatcham were undone by two identical headers from Ben Tunnicliff, the first from Freddy Ward's free kick with six minutes left.

As extra-time loomed, a Dave Evans free kick saw exactly the same header from Tunnicliff nick the tie in stoppage time.

Slimbridge will entertain Chalfont St. Peter in the preliminary round.

Next for the Swans, though, is a trip to Melksham Town on Saturday (3pm) to visit another of the Western Premier League's pacesetters.
