YATE Town will be looking to keep up their good record in the South Gloucestershire derby when they visit Mangotsfield United in Division One South & West of the Southern League on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).

The Bluebells have won the last five league encounters between the sides and the last four at Cossham Street, but Mangotsfield came out on top after a penalty shootout when they met in the GFA Senior Challenge Cup semi-final towards the end of last season.

Yate are setting the pace at the top of the table with three wins and a draw from their first four games, although Mangotsfield are only a point behind them going into the weekend after winning their last three to set up an intriguing clash.

Firstly though Yate face a tricky away game on Saturday at Sholing, who have picked up five points from their first four games.

Billy Fletcher will be available after missing Tuesday night’s game against Evesham but Rob Perry and Jake Cox will miss both games through injury.

Meanwhile, Mitch Harrison has joined Western League side Bitton for a month to get some match fitness.
