OLVESTON & District Men’s A team are celebrating a league and cup double, the first in their history.
Having already secured the Bristol Division One title with an unbeaten run of 15 games, they had worked their way into the Lloyd Trophy Bristol League Cup final for the third year in succession.
Having won the trophy for the first time in 2012, they were looking to regain the cup that they lost to Bristol St Andrews Bowling Club in last year’s final.
Olveston were up against a strong Bristol team in the final and as expected the match was a very closely contested affair, but they finished the game strongly to secure a six-shot victory, capping another successful season.
