ALMONDSBURY UWE continued their unbeaten start to the Western League First Division campaign with a 3-1 home win over Wells City on Tuesday night.

Goals from Simon McElroy, James Fitzpatrick and Neil Bailey sent the Almonds up to second in the table.

They dropped their first points of the season on Saturday as Chard Town came away from The Field with a point.

McElroy put the home side in front before Chard’s Elliott Dyer scored the equaliser and then was promptly sent off two minutes later.

A Premier Division thriller at Oaklands Park saw Winterbourne share six goals with Sherborne Town in a 3-3 draw.

The match saw hat-tricks each from Winterbourne's Rob Sivers and Phil Ormerod in a game which also saw three penalties being awarded.
