Alveston (49) lost to Almondsbury 2nds (116) by 67 runs
ALMONDSBURY seconds travelled to local rivals Alveston on Saturday with only nine players but ran out convincing winners.
Batting first, Almondsbury collapsed to 116 all out with skipper Tom Burgess making 35 and all-rounder Andy Taylor 25. The top score however was extras with 43.
In reply, Alveston were skittled out for 49 with 15-year-old Avin Litt doing the damage.
He finished with figures of 6-3-6-4 to complete a fine victory for Burgess's depleted side.
