Gloucestershire County Women’s T20 League
Cam (20-1) beat Bristol YMCA (19) by nine wickets
CAM have been crowned county champions after thrashing Bristol YMCA to finish the season unbeaten.
Captain Charlie Pretty won the toss and put YMCA in to bat.
It soon became evident that this was going to be a relatively easy game so both captains decided to use all 20 overs no matter what the outcome.
Vicky Mansell (2-9) took the first wicket with only six on the board and from then wickets fell quickly, including a superb catch and a run out from Nicola Dickson.
Jazz Gillingham claimed 3-1 in three overs, Pretty took 1-3 and Janet Mansell finished with 2-2 as Bristol YMCA were all out in 11 overs.
Pretty and Lucy Johnstone opened the batting for Cam only needing 20 to win the game, but Pretty was bowled for nought.
Vicky Mansell then joined Johnstone and they reached the target with just a few overs gone.
