WINTERBOURNE B secured promotion from Bristol and District League Division Ten on Saturday with a 92-run win at home against Coalpit Heath thirds.

Tom Curnock (54) and Sam Emmott (51) hit half-centuries as Winterbourne were bowled out for 188 in their 45 overs.

Lewis Ford then took 4-27 to help bowl the visitors out for 96 and ensure Winterbourne finished runners-up.

Frampton Cotterell missed out on the Division Two title by just two points to Bohemians.

Already promoted, Frampton did their bit by claiming maximum points in their 121-run win at Abbots Leigh but it was not enough to make up the six-point deficit they faced going into the last day.

Ryan Carter hit 59 and Ash Oldacre blasted five sixes in a 28-ball 53 not out as Frampton scored 243-6 before bowling the hosts out for 122.

Almondsbury went into the final day with a chance of winning the Senior Division title, but suffered a four-wicket defeat at home to Hanham and finished third.

Dyrham and Hinton also had faint hopes of finishing top and, although they could not stop Portishead being crowned champions, their four-wicket win over Bristol Asians was enough to secure runners-up spot.
