FORMER Marlwood School pupil Paul Vice was knocked out in the first round of the archery competition at the Invictus Games yesterday.
The 31-year-old, who has to shoot with his teeth after losing the use of his arm, was beaten by the American number one at the inaugural international event in London for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.
Vice is also set to compete in the sitting volleyball and cycling events. He joined the Royal Marines after leaving school and narrowly escaped death after being blown up in Afghanistan three years ago.
