Frampton Cotterell 2nds 29 Bristol Saracens 2nds 25
FRAMPTON Cotterell had a week where everything came together against a very strong Bristol Saracens side.
It was a dominant display from the forwards with some hard-hitting tackles and strong runs, combined with slick hands from the backs.
Dominic Baines capped a fine display with his first try for the club, out-pacing his opposite winger on the outside after great hands from Steve Handy, who himself got a brace of tries.
Kobie McGlashan also kept up his prolific scoring run with another long distance run in to the line.
He has scored in every game this season so far and is surely knocking on the first team door.
Tom Johnson scored the other try with Roger Smith adding two conversions.
The backs may have scored the tries, but this was only down to the hard work of the forwards, setting up quick ball and constantly getting over the gain line.
Coach Dave Ashwin came on for five minutes at the end to steady the ship, but the game was won and he didn’t have to touch the ball.
MOM: Tom Smurf.
Frampton Cotterell scorers – Tries: Steve Handy (2), Dominic Baines, Kobie McGlashan, Tom Johnson; Conversions: Roger Smith (2).
