Stroud & District League Division Two

Charfield 2 Horsley United 2

CHARFIELD were unlucky not to gain all three points despite being second best to a well organised Horsley team for long periods of the game.

Despite taking the lead in the the 20th minute against the run of play, Charfield had to thank goalkeeper Craig Bond for pulling off two great saves in the first half to keep them in the game.

Their goal was scored by Nick Bishop from a corner and Horsley equalised 15 minutes later after a good build-up.

In the second half the home team were a lot brighter and took the lead again with less than five minutes remaining when a Simon Miles penalty was smashed home.

However, with the clock ticking to 90 minutes Horsley equalised with what proved to be the last kick of the game.
