IT WAS a dry day for the Club Finals Day, when ladies, men and junior fought for their trophies.

Results – Tom Turley (36 holes): Roy Hirst won by 1 hole against Gene Hawley.

Darville Plate (36 holes): Martin Charles won 8&7 against Russell Betts.

Campbell Cup (18 holes): Warren Pendred won 5&4 against Phil Frankland.

Ladies' Harris Cup: Julie Paulett won by 1 hole against Jane Barrett.

Juniors Thistle KO: Davis Newcombe won 5&4 against Alex Godfree.

Summer Mixed KO: Julie and Willie Cruickshank won by 1 hole against Hannah and Terry Pearce.

Ladies Bronze Trophy: Caroline Stokes beat Sarah Tyler 2&1.

Merry Vase: Jackie Emerson won 4&3 against Debbie Pringle.

Some 80 ladies took part in the Lady Marling Cup Competition at Cotswold Edge and on a lovely autumn day, scoring was good.

Lyn Smart (Cotswold Edge) won the Silver Trophy and Val Wilkinson (Tewkesbury Park) won the Bronze Trophy.

Over 100 ladies took part in their Vets Autumn Trophy day at Cotswold Edge.

Winners – Best overall gross: Sheila Westmacott (Cirencester).

Best gross bronze: Lyn Cocking (Thornbury).

Division One: 1. Bobby Woodley (Tracy Pk), nett 69.

Division Two: 1. Pam Burroughs (Tewks Pk), nett 71.

Division Three: 1. Viv Pitts (Cleeve Hill).

Super Vet: 1 Megan Mills, nett 71.

Cotswold Edge Ladies had yet another whitewash when they beat Cirencester Ladies 7-0.

Results: Mel Lee beat Blanche Neal; Tina Lewis beat Lea Funding; Debbie Pringle beat Chris Park; Lynda Pearce beat Lin Richie; Jane Barrett beat Muriel Telling; Sue Freeland beat Sheila Lowbridge; Jacki Emerson beat Jay Berens.

Although the B team lost to Cirencester 4-3 in the Ladies' Alliance, they have gained promotion this season.

Results: Megan Mills lost to Jill Briggs; Lyn Smart halved Paula Lester-Power; Michell Craker beat Debbie Hewitt; Ilse Russell beat Liz Dodds; Angela Ryan halved Christine Clark; Jessie Goodbrand lost to Barbara Grimwade; Pat Waring lost to Penny Taylor.
