Stroud & District League Division Six
Charfield Reserves 2 Tredworth Reserves 3
TREDWORTH were fast out of blocks and were awarded a penalty in the first 10 minutes.
However, Charfield goalkeeper Kevin Spill was in excellent form and pulled off a one-handed save to keep the game all square.
Charfield finally subsided when a corner was defended poorly and Tredworth took the lead, which they extended by scoring a second just before half-time.
The hosts started the second half with more determination and quickly got back into the game when Cullem Glynn scored.
This was followed by an equaliser from Kerien Austin and they should have gone to win the game but for some poor finishing.
With the game heading for a draw, Tredworth took advantage of some lapse marking and scored the winner with less than five minutes to go.
