Wotton Rovers Tigers U8s 6 GVR Chalford U8s 0.

THIS was a very impressive performance from a rapidly improving team whose positional play was exceptional.

Wotton Tigers' Miles Salsbury was rapacious in front of goal and punished a hard-working GVR side with a wonderful hat-trick in the first half.

After the restart, Jacob McNally was bundled over in the box and converted the penalty with a powerful strike into the corner of the net.

Jack Cullum finally scored two well-deserved goals thanks to masterful through balls from Ollie Simm and man of the match Callum Gorman-Williams.

Solid defending from Henry Jones and Robert Bates helped goalkeeper Daniel Jones keep a clean sheet.

Wotton Rovers Lions U8s 0 Malmesbury Falcons U8 2.

LIONS' good start was frustrated by a difficult playing surface.

Strong pressure led to successive shots by man of the match Luke Messer, one forcing a save onto the bar by the Malmesbury goalkeeper.

Despite persistent tackling by Adam King and the resilient defence of Will Romain and Henry Patteson, Malmesbury made it 1-0 at the break.

Wotton played some skilful football after the interval, with a high work rate by Harry Fitzjohn and Tom Kinnear.

Lions pushed forward and linked up well but could not find that elusive goal. A lapse in concentration let Falcons in for a second.

Wotton Rovers Girls U10s 3 Yate Town Girls U10s 0.

WOTTON made hard work of their win on a very heavy pitch against a Yate team that was under almost constant pressure throughout the game.

Excellent defensive performances from Emma Topping, Amy Chinner and Chloe Boulton gave little away and the midfield covered back well.
