A LOVELY Spring Saturday encouraged a good turn out at Cotswold Edge Golf Club for the April Medal last weekend.
The competition was the county qualifier and it was a close competition with Cliff Coles, the overall winner, and Bob Hanks winning their respective divisions to qualify to play at Minchinhampton on Thursday July 2.
Results (nett): Division 1: Bob Hanks 70, Andy Cocking 70 & Jack Drysdale 74; Division 2: Tim Griffith 68, Pat Briggs 72 and Chris Sheppard 73.
Division 3: Cliff Coles 68, Nigel Pearce 68 and Bob Ridd 69.
The previous week saw both men and ladies competing for the Foundation Day Trophy, which raises funds for the Junior Section.
Overall winner Tarragon Newcombe came in with an impressive score of 38 on a windy day.
