FOREST Green Rovers have been handed a reasonable opening couple of games to their new Vanarama National League season when it kicks-off in a month’s time.

Manager Ady Pennock’s side will be away to Altrincham for their first match which is on Saturday August 8 as they look to continue where they left off last season and aim for the play-offs – or better – in the 2015/16 campaign.

Forest Green will then be at home to Welling United three days later on Tuesday August 11 and have another home tie on Saturday August 15 for their third match in a week when they entertain National League new boys Barrow who were promoted from the National Conference North last season.

And, in a packed start to the campaign, Forest Green to go Boreham Wood on Tuesday August 18 before two big clashes in successive Saturdays when they entertain Lincoln City and then face Kidderminster Harriers away.
