Cinderford St John 211-7 lost to Frampton-on-Severn 212-2
by eight wickets

FRAMPTON-on-Severn needed to secure a win against rivals Cinderford to leapfrog them in the table — and they did so in emphatic style.
Winning the toss, Frampton chose to bowl with Dan Huxstep and Matt Cayless  restricting Cinderford to just 27 off the first ten.
Opener and captain Simon Gwynne pulled a side muscle and had to retire hurt before replacement Ed Ruck (8) was bowled by the pace of Tom Warren.
Fellow opening batsman Rich Bywater was then bowled by the loopy spinners of young Liam Harper for a well-worked 42.
Nigel Cartwright and Mark House had the Frampton fielders scampering to all parts of the field as they took the score onto 174 before Cartwight (32) nicked Huxstep behind to Liam O’Neill.
The in-form House (88, including 12 fours and two sixes) was only going to fall to something special and it was captain Cayless who came up with the goods. Running at pace he caught the ball just inside the boundary and danced along the rope to take a stunning catch.
Cinderford finished on a competitive 211-7 off their 45 overs
Frampton found runs hard to come by in the last few games, but Dickerson and Sam North made a good start until North (15) missed a straight one from House.
Injury-stricken Dickerson and Frazer Wilson took the score onto 83 before Wilson was bowled by Julian Kibble for 29.
On the back of a decent knock last week, Tom Warren  was looking to continue his form and together Dickerson they saw off six Cinderford bowlers to share an unbeaten partnership of 129, both scoring 68 not out.
Both players played with patience while dispatching the bad ball to the boundary. Warren’s innings included 12 fours and Dickerson hit 11 boundaries.
