THE AUGUST Medal at Cotswold Edge Golf Club saw several impressive under par scores in all divisions on a warm sunny day.  Division 1: Chris Young nett 65, Ross Casey 69 & Tom Reynolds 69; Division 2: Paul Thompson 67, Pete Teasdale 68 & David Ryan 69; Division 3: Robert Oakley 66, John Gunnell 68 & Colin Weston 72.

The Ladies Summer Salver was won by Heather Morgan with a +4 score followed by Elaine Wheeler +3 and Mary Kowalczyk +1.  The par bogey competition, where you compete against the course in match play format, was played over two days to enable working ladies to take part. 

The Gambia Charity Day was well supported and raised £1,500 for the running of Tallinding School.  The stableford team competition was won by Wren’s team with 93 points followed by Metrognomes 91 & Stupid Game Golf 90. 

The Senior section was in action this week with a win recorded at home against Chipping Sodbury 4 – 3 but they were less successful on their visit to Cumberwell Park narrowly losing 3.5 – 2.5.
