Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One
Dursley Town 1
Ruardean Hill Rangers 4

A PROMISING start to the new league campaign quickly fizzled out as the visitors from the Forest of Dean overwhelmed Dursley at the Rec on Saturday.
Sean Bailey’s superb free-kick gave Town a 15th-minute lead in a whirlwind start that also saw Curtis Mills have a penalty saved after a foul on Jay Redbond.
However, Ruardean eventually settled into the game and were well worth their equaliser before half-time, although sloppy defending played a part in the goal.
The visitors dominated the second period and, once they forged ahead around the hour mark, the result was never in doubt as the home side unravelled.
