Timsbury 274-5 beat Almondsbury 272-7 by five wickets
ALMONDSBURY will score fewer runs and win so it was very hard luck that, after travelling to Timsbury on Saturday, they hit a mammoth 272 runs but still lost.
Skipper Andy Parkinson won the toss for Almondsbury and decided to bat.
Aaron Jones was swiftly run out for a duck but after that the batting went smoothly.
Deepak Bhadri scored 122 off 121 balls which included six sixes, and Liam Hartigan hit 47, Jack Kewley 35 and Matt Wood 27.
With the innings closing, Almondsbury thought they had enough runs on the board.
But Timsbury set about the challenge aggressively, putting on 188 for the first wicket, Jack Srivens being bowled by Andy Taylor for 78. Mark Sage hit a ton and at 216-2, Timsbury all but had the match won.
Jack Kewley with 2-57 bowled well before Timsbury crossed the line.

Alveston 48-3 v Almondsbury 2nds 149 ao – match abandoned
ALMONDSBURY and Alveston where victims of the weather in a closely fought contest. Alveston hit 149 thanks mainly to later order batsman Sam Grunshaw (49).
Chris Slade 3-21 was the best bowler.
In reply, Almondsbury reached 48-3 when the the rain came down.
