Wotton Rovers U14s 2 Slimbridge 0
A brave, battling performance from the ten men of Wotton saw off the challenge of Slimbridge at a sunny KLB on Sunday.
Wotton came fast out of the blocks and were soon ahead thanks to a smart finish by Harrison Brain. Their superior passing and movement saw them double their advantage, Brain getting his second. But it was the performance of the defence that secured the victory, Will Aston, Dylan Bradbury, Archie Smart and captain Leo Wells snuffing out attack after attack as Slimbridge tried to force home their extra man advantage.
But the tiring legs of the Wotton boys somehow managed to hold on for a well deserved 2-0 victory.
