Sunday saw a range of events being completed.
Five Dursley Runners were on the line for the Oldbury 10 Miler.
A beautiful autumnal day was perhaps rather warm for a ten mile race.
This did not stop Nigel Sankey smashing his previous best by over five minutes and coming home first Dursley runner in the process, with Margaret Johnson knocking over tow minutes of her previous best to place first FV45.
Sandwiched between them, Kevin Jackson was third MV55. Damien Lai and Rachael Goatman completed their first ever 10 mile race a fantastic achievement for both of them, with Lai having only started running in January via  the Dursley Clubs Walk2Run programme.
Another graduate of this programme, Cara Zoglowek, completed the Cricklade 10K to record her first ever time at this distance of one hour 19 minutes.
Annette Heylings also competed at this distance, running the  Ormskirk 10k finishing 148th overall and first FV60 in 58.11mins

At the Cardiff Half Marathon, Neil Parry returned to the land of his fathers to lead the team home, Audrey Harris ran a PB to better her previous best by six minutes and  Becky Court  PB’d by just under five minutes.

Chris Young completed the Lydney Sprint triathlon and he declared himself very pleased to PB in all three sections.
This was with a hillier bike course than in previous years and Young’s running is the area of biggest improvement, knocking over two and half minutes off his time in this discipline
Closer to home Rich Shirley completed the Bowood Sprint Duathlon (5k run/21k bike/5k run) placing 12th  in  a time of one hour 21.39mins, despite, in his own words, “making so many stupid-rookie mistakes”.
The club runs from Dursley Rugby Club on Tuesday nights, with a wide range of groups to cater for all paces with other runs organised in the week. Meet at 6.15 for a 6.30 start. The club is moving to road running over the winter, hi-viz vest and head torches are essential.
