DESPITE the recent bad weather Cotswold Edge Golf Club members have managed to take part in a few competitions Pat Casey did extremely well in the November Stableford scoring 42 points on a very cold and windy day.
Division 1: Bob Hanks 35, Willie Cruickshank 33 & John Bubb 33; Division 2: Pat Casey 42, Vince Taylor 36 & Roger Bryant 35; Division 3: Roger Johnson 35, Mark Niblett 34 & Alan Cole 33.
The Seniors turned out in force for their December Stableford with some good scores being carded – Division 1: Theo White 38, John Wright 36 & Geoff Gillingham 36; Division 2: Roger Johnson 32, Paul Holland 32 & Brian Fisher 30.
The Lady Vets came together for their annual Christmas stableford competition (9 holes) and lunch – Mel Lee won the Marg Rawlings Trophy with 19 points, Megan Mills won the prize for nearest the pin in 2 on the 5th and the general knowledge quiz was won by Janet Duberley, Elaine Wheeler and Mary Kowalczyk. Mel’s winning form continued in the 9, 6, 3 stableford (9 holes)competition where she again scored 19 points followed by Mary Kowalczyk 18 & Elspeth Harding 12.
