De Cymru & The Marches 2 League
Wotton-under-Edge 2nds 2 Cardiff Met 0
EXCELLENT passing play saw Wotton-under-Edge seconds return to form, with a well-organised and determined team taking to the beautiful pitch at Cardiff Metropolitan University on a very cold Saturday afternoon.
The first goal came from perfectly timed pass from captain Matt Tait to Seb Culpepper who smacked the ball into the back of the goal from the top of the D.
Driving play down to the far left corner by the midfield, and a well-timed cross to Dan Jones on top of the D provided Jones the chance to smack the ball into an open goal, taking the score to a more comfortable 2-0.
Some loose marking gave Cardiff Met the chance to attack but their attempts on goal were well parried by Charlie Thomas’s strong goal keeping and the back four of Neil Forsyth, Leo Murray-Davey and Culpepper.
