IT was a chilly but bright morning for the latest round of the Western Time Trials Association Hardrider Series on the 25-mile U72 course from Maisemore to Ledbury.

Riders struggled uphill into a headwind on the way out but had the wind at their backs on the return.

Five Dursley riders took part with Graham Davies seventh overall in 59 minutes 51 seconds and taking second place in the V40 category.

Russell Peace came in at 21st place in a time of one hour three minutes 21 seconds, while John Sirett was over the line in 1:07:10 for 36th place.

Steve White was 40th over all in a time of 1:07:51, while Dan Morgan did not finish the time trials due to a mechanical problem with his bike.

The Western Time Trials Association Hardrider Series at Ledbury saw a good field of 61 riders take part. The winner of the event was Ben Anstie, of the 72 Degrees bicycle team.
