THE titles have come thick and fast for Wotton footballers recently.
Wotton Rovers U13 Girls team celebrated winning the Bristol Girls’ League and the Gloucestershire County Cup for the second year running.
The league was won with a 3-1 win away at Whitchurch, Wotton finishing the season with 15 successive wins and scoring more than 100 league goals.
Meanwhile, Wotton Rovers U12s beat Rodborough 10-0 to win the Mid Glos League on Saturday.
Jack Powell opened the scoring with a fine individual goal.
Then it was the Ethan Smith show, with him scoring a wonderful hat-trick in the space of five minutes at the end of the half.
Captain Jamie Stacey then scored four in the second half.
Ross Webb got in on the act with a smartly taken finish and the lively Will McClusky got a well deserved goal to send the tally in to double figures and the travelling supporters in to raptures.
* WOTTON Rovers Jaguars (u13) won the Red Cross Cup after a 2-0 win over Ebley at Shortwood United FC’s ground.
A tight first half saw few chances but turned out to include the save of the game with Wotton’s Tyler Hopkins stopping from close range.
Wotton started on the front foot at beginning of the second period. After 10 minutes of Rovers attacks, a Tom Rummels cross met a Stuart Sims who headed home.
As Ebley slowly started to get back in the game, a counter attack 10 minutes from time led to Archie Boeater producing some great skill to set up in-form striker Elliot Bloor, who made it 2-0.
The final whistle blew and both the team and majority of the crowd celebrated.
Wotton had earlier in the week secured the league title so the win sealed the double.
