THORNBURY Castle School student, Pfeiffer Georgi, 15, showed her dominance again in criterium racing, taking wins in the Under 16 Girls’ and Womens’ category 2/3 races at Bristol Grand Prix.

The youth race was run concurrently with the boys’ event and Pfeiffer, riding for Liv CC Epic Coaching, stayed with the leading group of 9 Under 16 Boys whilst the remainder of the field was decimated behind, on the fast undulating figure of eight circuit in Bristol City Centre.

In the Womens’ event, Pfeiffer formed part of an early breakaway group and launched an attack in the closing laps to produce her signature solo win.

Back to contest the fifth round of the National Youth Series at Milton Keynes Bowl, Pfeiffer launched numerous attacks on the flat fast circuit but each of the breakaway groups was short-lived, as they were reeled back into the main group.

In the final sprint, Pfeiffer took second place, maintaining her lead overall in the series. Brother Etienne Georgi, Castle Sixth Form student, 17, showed his grit at the Junior South Region Road Race Championships held over 52 miles on a hilly 4-lap circuit at Stockbridge, Winchester.

Being instrumental in creating the winning breakaway group, Etienne and his Giant CC Halo Films teammate, local Bristol rider, Matthew Cox, broke away on the final ascent, with Matt winning and Etienne gaining second place.
