IT IS early days and performance not results are what matter but Yate Town manager Paul Britton will have plenty to think of during training next week as his new charges went down to defeat in their first friendly of the season on Friday night.
Yate lost 3-1 at Toolstation Western League side Bristol Manor Farm, whom Britton had said were a tough outfit to beat.
Manor Farm were 2-0 at half-time but a debut goal from new signing Eugene Keary gave the Bluebells a 1-1 second-half draw.
They are now away at Bradford Town on Monday night, the Western League side who beat Slimbridge 2-0 just a week ago, which will be another tough game for Britton to assess his men.
