COTSWOLD Edge Golf Club Seniors retained the Bronwyn Sleigh Clock in their annual match against the ladies section, winning 5-1.

The pairs competition is played in good spirits with lots of friendly banter and a meal together afterwards.

The Seniors September Medal incorporating the Neville Young Trophy was well supported with Captain Graham Woodlands carding a nett 68 to take the honours, which also earned him a one shot handicap cut.

Division 1: Graham Woodlands nett 68, John Newns 69 and Simon Craker 70; Division 2: Brian McTear 69, Steve Mayer 72 and Pete Greatbach 73.

Gill Polley and Pat Dunn go through to the next round of the Ladies Daily Mail Foursomes national competition, after winning the Club’s pairs stableford round with 30 points followed by Lyn Smart and Sue Freeland 29 and Michelle Craker and Caroline Stokes 28.

The sun shone on the Ladies Alliance 2 team who enjoyed their visit to Lilley Brook winning 9-5.

The final mixed friendly match of the season proved a very successful visit to Naunton Downs with a 5-2 win on the day.
