Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two
Abbeymead Rovers 2 Dursley Town 7
JAKE Hawkins and Liam Wood both fired hat-tricks as Dursley hit bottom-of-the-table Abbeymead with a second-half goal spree to run out comfortable winners.
Phil Miles’ side were only 2-1 up at the interval, but they asserted their authority in some style after the break to chalk up their second victory of the league season.
In addition to Hawkins and Wood, Jamie Shimman was also on the mark for the visitors, while the Abbeymead goals came from Liam Clift and Stephen Hedges.
“We stepped things up a gear in the second half,” said player-manager Miles.
“It was a really good all-round performance from the whole team.”
