NINE goals at Thornbury Town’s Mundy Playing Fields saw the home side going out of the Gloucestershire FA Challenge Trophy at the second round stage to the visitors Cribbs.

It was an incredible game of football with the teams level at 0-0, 2-2 and 3-3 before Cribbs pulled away.

The goal rout started when George King gave Cribbs the lead on five minutes and then Darren Edwards made it two on 15 minutes.

Craig Lancastle pulled a goal back for the home side on 19 minutes and two minutes later Nathan Irwin made it 2-2.

Josh Jones netted for Cribbs on 37 minutes and then on 43 minutes Lancastle made it 3-3. George King gave Cribbs the lead on 58 minutes and Jack McKenna made it 5-3 on 66 minutes.

Thornbury tried to hit back and managed to score a fourth goal when Nathan Sage hit the back of the net in injury time but there was not enough left in the game for Thornbury to draw level a fourth time as they went out of the tournament.
