Stroud League Division One: PHEONIX A were narrowly beaten 4-6 at home by Frampton A but it was the home side’s Dave Hadley who was man of the match with a maximum.

Cirencester entertained Yate but couldn’t contain Andy Cox and Will Berkley, both unbeaten on the night, as the home side lost 8-2.

Liwu Wei scored a maximum for Phoenix B which prevented the visiting Thornbury A inflicting a whitewash on their hosts.

In their second match of the week, Frampton A lost 3-7 at home to Forest Green A, for whom Louis and Chris Price scored maximums.

No quarter was asked or given when Woodchester A and B clashed and the points were shared at five apiece with the A team’s James Ashton finishing as man of the match with a max.

Only one point separates Forest Green A and Thornbury A at the top of the division.

Division Two: CAM A and Fampton C shared the spoils at five all with Dave Metcalfe finishing as man of the match returning a max for the visiting Frampton team.

Nailsworth A entertained Randwick A, but suffered a whitewashing as Robbie Hawkins, Steve Charlwood and Declan Fardon were unbeatable on the night. Thornbury B also had a big win as maximums from Gavin Rogers and Mark Attwood helped them to a 9-1 victory over the visiting Phoenix C.

The points were shared at five apiece when the two Whiteshill teams clashed although the A team could only field two players against their B team.

A maximum for Dave Pearce helped Frampton C defeat the visiting Randwick B 7-3 in their second match of the week.

Thornbury B have a four point lead at the top over Randwick A who have played one match fewer.

Division 3: A maximum from John Bunn helped Woodchester C to a narrow 6-4 victory over the visiting Randwick D.

No one player could dominate the match as Woodchester D and the visiting Thornbury C fought out a five all draw.

Randwick D leapfrogged over Phoenix D at the bottom of the division with a Roger Dickenson maximum helping his side to a 7-3 victory over the visitors.

Whiteshill C whitewashed the visiting Phoenix E with Neil Wilkins, Andy Taylor and Terry Jordan all finishing unbeaten.

Randwick D suffered their second defeat of the week, this time at the hands of the visiting Phoenix F for whom Andy Hammond and Jon Ramsbotham returned maximums.

Phoenix F hold a one point advantage at the top of the division over Thornbury C and Whiteshill C.

Division 4: Cam C entertained Forest Green C and were turned over 9-1 as Ciaran Bryden and Alex Edwards hit maximums for the visitors.

Nailsworth B just edged a close match against the visiting Randwick E 6-4 with Alun Davies scoring a max for the home team.

Thornbury D suffered a 2-8 home defeat to the visiting Nailsworth C with the experienced Mike May bagging a hat trick for the visitors.

A Chris Hampton maximum helped the visiting Phoenix H to a 6-4 victory when they visited Forest Green D.

Forest Green C lead the division with 37 points but there are five teams six points behind, four with a game in hand.
