De Cymru & The Marches 2
Llan & Caerphilly 0 Wotton-under-Edge 2nds (A) 3
IN the first ten minutes, Wotton had a lot of possession, with great passing from Neil Forsyth, John Shovelton and Sam Willcox on the wing.
Great play continued as Leo Murray-Davey smashed the ball into the D, followed by a deflection from Will Cave which just passed outside the goal.
The first goal built up from great skill outside the D from James Bull, squeezing past two defenders and falling to a classic Archie Cropper reverse sweep.
That was quickly followed by another superb pass around the back and lovely through ball to Ben Butter who showed good skill to get past one defender followed by a deft pass to Cropper to sink the second goal.
The third goal started from a slap from Bull into the D only for the opposition to kick it away giving Wotton a penalty flick.
Player-of-the-match Cropper was elected so that he could attempt a hat trick, which he calmly achieved, putting the ball away in the bottom corner, sending the keeper the wrong way.
It ended as a great win for the cool-headed Wotton seconds team.
