The Marches 2
Cheltenham D 11 Wotton 5ths 0
ON a cold, wintry morning, it was an interesting collection who braved the snow to represent Wotton’s fifth team against Cheltenham D.
With three debuts and a stand-in goalie, the ten brave men were still eager to embrace the challenge, and were not overawed by the sight of a strong Cheltenham side.
Cheltenham attacked, and despite some good attacking opportunities through the father and son Andy and Jacob Symanowski, Wotton succumbed to a well-drilled and quick short corner team, which converted half of the ten short corners conceded in the first half.
It was 6-0 to Cheltenham at half-time.
Wotton made some great runs, with under-16s players Max Woodman and Dom Barton linking up well.
Wotton conceded only four short corners in the second but Cheltenham won easily.
