THERE was a good turn out for Cotswold Edge Golf Club’s Seniors February Stableford with some impressive scores returned and the early participants enjoyed the best of the weather that deteriorated throughout the day.
Division 1: Kim Sharp 39 points, Roy Hirst 38 and Richard Rogers 37; Division 2: Twister Taylor 41, Bert Everett 39 and John Stuart 38.
Charlie Jenkins took the honours in the first Junior competition of the year. Charlie scored 16 stableford points in the nine hole competition followed by Riley Amor 15 and Adam Melville 14.
Julie Reynolds won the 11 hole irons only stableford competition this week on count back from Jane Rowell and Mel Lee, all with 17 points.
And it’s time to get the thinking caps on for members as this Friday the Annual Quiz Night, run by the Ladies Section, takes place.
The quiz is also open to non members, with up to four in a team, 7pm for prompt 7.30pm start - £3 per person with ploughman’s supper available (£5).
