CHIPPING Sodbury’s Giuseppe Licata remains firmly on top of the Gloucestershire and Somerset PGA Medal Order of Merit, despite sharing seventh place at the latest event at Naunton Downs.
Second placed Ed Goodwin, however, has reduced the deficit slightly to 34 points after finishing joint fifth in the tournament.
Consistent Clevedon assistant Ashley Mansell was the only player to beat par to win the event. His one-under 71 for a two-shot victory over Russ Berry (Broadway) brought his second win of the campaign.
He moves to within one point of third place in the Order of Merit.
