Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two
Dursley Town 1 English Bicknor 1
CENTRAL defender Matt Workman headed a second-half equaliser as Dursley hit back to claim a deserved point in their final home match of a difficult campaign.
Workman met Jake Dolbear’s corner on the hour mark to make it three games unbeaten as Phil Miles’ side maintained their promising end-of-season form.
Town started the game slowly as they conceded a soft goal to Lance Bevan and also lost centre-back Paul Lyon to a hamstring injury inside the opening ten minutes.
Dursley ought to have been on level terms by the break, but Dolbear saw his penalty saved after English Bicknor were penalised for a handball inside the box.
Dursley: P Dykes; S Hobbs, S Miles, M Workman, P Lyon (P Miles 10); J Dolbear, K Austin, B Deakin; J Warner (J Shimman 55), A Griffith, L Wood.
Goals: Workman (60).
* Dursley are in Stroud Charity Cup action this Saturday when they visit Frampton Reserves in their Section A semi-final (2.30pm). Stroud Harriers await in the final.
