Death of a loyal Thornbury player
THORNBURY RFC was saddened to hear of the death of former player Alan “Sam” Chinnick.
Predominantly a wing, Sam Chinnick was a prolific try scorer for the First XV from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s but was still running in the tries for the Third XV in the 1980s.
He also played regularly for Thornbury Vandals.
