YATE’S Luke Hedger will be racing at Donington Park this weekend.

And because the stock 600 and stock 1000 classes do not go to the Assen round with BSB, both classes get to support the British World Superbike round.

This is a brilliant opportunity for the riders to show the world teams how talented they are.

And Hedger is hoping the only world Aprilia team will be watching his progress.

Hedger has already proved his talent this year by mixing it up with the top riders and has moved to sixth in his championship standings.

He is the only Aprilia team member in the BSB so lots of eyes are watching how he is doing.

Hedger is hopeful that, within the next couple of years, he will be competing at world level and this is a good chance for him to show the teams he is good enough to do just that.

Hedger said: “I am really looking forward to this weekend, I have already had a very good start to my racing campaign this year and would love this to continue.

“I was so close to getting on the podium last time round and it would be awesome if I could achieve this at Donington.

“I am just trying to stay consistent I have a big learning curve this season,” he added.
