MAKO Vunipola has retained his place in the British and Irish Lions team to face New Zealand in the second Test on Saturday in Wellington.

The former Thornbury Broncos prop played for the first fifty minutes of the first Test defeat against the All Blacks in Auckland last Saturday.

It is a match that the Lions must win if they are to have a chance winning the series when they go into the final Test on Saturday week.

Head coach Warren Gatland has dropped England centre Ben Te’o, who had a superb first Test, to accommodate Owen Farrell in the midfield with Johnny Sexton at fly-half.

Sam Warburton will captain the Lions, with last weekend's skipper Peter O'Mahony omitted entirely from the match squad, while Alun Wyn Jones has been retained at lock to partner Maro Itoje.
